Patrick D. Conway

Patrick Conway is a licensed attorney admitted in the jurisdiction of New York State. Patrick comes from a background of finance and insurance as well as formally practicing as a licensed registered nurse in the state of New York. The Law Office (or Patrick) does not provide clinical or medical advice or services. Patrick brings particular experience and knowledge regarding intellectual and developmental disabilities; cognitive impairments related to disease, aging, and traumatic brain injuries; substance abuse issues; mental health issues; as well as complex medical decision-making regarding ethical analysis related to major medical decisions and end of life scenarios.
Patrick has vast experience in working with families on behavioral and mental health intervention and non-clinical care coordination planning, including but not limited to discharge from facilities, helping to design action plans, and support networks in the community for individuals to live successfully and independently.
Patrick previously worked for managed care organizations, in roles such as Director of clinical services, as well as consultant, to multiple manage care organizations. Patrick carries experience and knowledge related to Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party and private health insurance issues and eligibility; formerly Patrick worked for the New York State Dept of Health investigating Nursing Homes and Facilities to safeguard patients rights.
Patrick graduated from New York Law School after receiving a B.A. from SUNY Albany, and a Nursing Degree from CUNY.
Patrick was on site on the tragic day of September 11, 2001. He has experienced firsthand the suffering and tragedy that many of his clients have difficulty addressing and working through. Patrick has had direct and indirect experience with thousands of individuals across decades of working in insurance, nursing, healthcare, and now in his legal role as attorney.
